Our Story

Unlike anything in the whole of Phoenix, Events On Jackson is a 23,180 square foot multi-use social and corporate event venue that combines high tech functionality with the charm and beauty of a historic building. Our mission and promise is to help you create a memorable and customized experience for your next meeting, corporate retreat, or social event.

When you walk into our space, you’ll be greeted by original brick walls, reclaimed wood detailing, blackened steel, and high ceilings. We have hosted both large scale and intimate events of all kinds ranging from 80 people to more than 800, including:

A Neglected Building Gets a Second Life

What you see today as one event venue started off as two separate buildings. Built in the 1930’s, our historic warehouse was originally a fruit and vegetable storage facility. Decades later, it became popular sports bar Jackson’s on 3rd.

The building we first discovered was run down, dirty, and forgotten. We saw past its rough appearance to the shining gem it could be. Bolstered in our belief by the many other successful revitalization efforts taking place all around us, we set out on a multi-million dollar renovation, resulting in the multifaceted space you see today.

Why Downtown Phoenix?

What sparked the original idea to create our event space here came down to a few things: convenience, community, and “cool” factor. It also needed to be the home of our parent company.

For many days during the year, our building is home to the Scheduling Institute, the largest, most respected dental training and practice consulting company in the world. We were founded in 1997 by Jay Geier, an award winning entrepreneur, public speaker, philanthropist and author.

In our search to find a West Coast headquarters, we looked at many cities, but Phoenix ‑ and the Warehouse District in particular ‑ rose to the top of our list because of its proximity to travel and transportation hubs, the tight knit technology community, and the fact that the burgeoning Downtown area has a genuine, urban, and vibrant energy that is palpable all around us.
